On October 9, the inaugural "XUST‑Actionpower Joint Training Program for Outstanding Power Electronics Engineers" kicked off at the Lintong Campus of Xi’an University of Science and Technology, marking a new chapter for university‑enterprise collaborative talent cultivation. Leaders from both sides, faculty, students and all program participants attended the launch ceremony.

Vice President Cheng Weixing stated in his address that this program and the joint lab initiative respond to national strategies and support smart manufacturing. Adopting dual tutors and project‑based training, the partnership brings real‑world engineering scenarios and corporate technical standards into courses, enabling students to smoothly grow into professional engineers.

Bai Xiaoqing introduced Actionpower’s development and industry outlook, and recognized the valuable contributions of XUST graduates. The two parties will jointly build training bases and laboratories, develop training curricula, form dual-qualified teaching teams, launch special projects and funds, and open internship & employment pathways. Full-cycle support will be provided to align talent training with industry demands for mutual growth.

The dean of the School of Electrical and Control Engineering noted that this program implements the national Outstanding Engineer Initiative and deepens university‑enterprise collaboration. It marks a new starting point for joint work on talent development, tech innovation and graduate employment. The school will cooperate with Actionpower to build curricula and practical platforms, bringing real industrial projects, cutting-edge technologies and engineering standards into training to strengthen students’ practical capabilities.

At the launch ceremony, Professor Liu Shulin presented the training plan. Cao Ming, Cheng Weixing and Bai Xiaoqing unveiled the program and joint laboratory plaques, and awarded appointment letters and student certificates. A special Actionpower campus recruitment fair was held after the ceremony.
