On June 12, 2026, the unveiling ceremony for the "MW‑Level High‑Dynamic Regenerative Power Test Platform" took place at the New Headquarters Laboratory & Testing Center of Xi’an Actionpower Electric Co., Ltd. Experts and guests from the seminar on "Technical Development and Application Challenges of AIDC Power Supply Chains" witnessed the milestone. It marks that the test platform for high-power critical power supply equipment for AI Data Center (AIDC) power supply chains has entered a new phase of high efficiency and energy conservation.

Industry’s First MW‑Level High‑Dynamic Regenerative Power Test Platform Officially Unveiled
Guests witnessed the unveiling of Actionpower’s industry-first MW‑Level High‑Dynamic Regenerative Power Test Platform. Dr. Ying Jianping (ex-Delta), Prof. Ruan Xinbo, Dr. Chen Qiaoliang and Actionpower Chairman Mr. Bai Xiaoqing cut the ribbon. Based on the PRL series DC high‑dynamic regenerative load, the platform integrates PRA‑A AC and PRA‑D DC programmable equipment. It supports AC/DC source & load testing (800 V / ±400 V, DC54–800 V), high-dynamic load simulation and energy regeneration, offering advanced test capabilities for AIDC.
After the unveiling, Actionpower engineers started up the test system. Live on-screen demos displayed measurement data and waveform details under typical EDPP test conditions, showcasing high current slew rate, high regeneration efficiency and low current overshoot. Experts and guests asked targeted questions and exchanged views during the demo, recognizing the platform’s leading industrial value.
The platform enables Actionpower’s internal product validation while delivering an open, efficient, repeatable third-party test environment for AIDC power chain core equipment: high-power PSUs, HVDC and SST.

Technical Highlights: Breakthrough from "Dissipative Load" to "High‑Dynamic Regenerative Load"
Traditionally, tests for key AIDC power chain equipment (PSU, HVDC and SST) rely heavily on MOSFET-based dissipative electronic loads. Though they feature fast dynamic response, all energy is converted into heat, bringing three core pain points:
Massive heat dissipation demand: MW‑level testing calls for large air-cooling or water-cooling systems;
High power distribution and footprint costs: Power capacity upgrades and bulky equipment restrict available test space;
Poor long-term economics: Wasted electrical energy drives high operating costs;
To solve these pain points, Actionpower developed the PRL series DC high‑dynamic regenerative load. Each single module delivers a max rise/fall slew rate of 60 A/μs. Thanks to unit capacity expansion and parallel operation, it supports MW‑class testing with over 85% energy regeneration efficiency. It changes conventional high-performance load-side "energy-consuming testing" to "energy-regenerative testing". Its core values are as follows:
Outstanding dynamic performance: Capable of simulating severe transient operating conditions for AIDC loads;
Energy-saving & Eco-friendly: High regeneration efficiency slashes test power consumption and heat load;
Compact deployment: It significantly cuts supporting heat dissipation and power distribution facilities, lowering site and O&M costs;

Built on Testing, Empowering the AIDC Power Supply Ecosystem
As an established player in China’s power electronics testing sector, Actionpower has long worked to convert “inaccurate, incomplete and costly testing” industry challenges into commercial solutions. The closed-door seminar and MW‑level platform launch mark Actionpower’s key strategic move in AIDC.
Going forward, Actionpower will collaborate with academia, research institutes and industry partners to advance test standards and technology for high-power power equipment, accelerating AIDC infrastructure evolution toward high performance, high efficiency, high reliability and low TCO.
